ITOCHU Pulp & Paper Corporation

COMPANY PROFILE

Growing with Our Customers, Leading Change

ITOCHU PULP & PAPER CORP. was established in 1972, taking over the domestic paper sales business from ITOCHU Corporation. Since then, we have built our foundation as a key distributor in the paper and paperboard industry. Today, in response to changing market needs, we have expanded our role beyond distribution. By staying close to our customers, we have grown into a company that offers a wide range of products and services, from upstream to downstream value chains earning trust from diverse clients.

While paper consumption has declined in developed regions since the 2000s, global demand continues to grow. The ways and places paper are used are evolving, and we aim not only to keep pace with these changes, but to lead them.

At the same time, paper is being re-evaluated as a sustainable alternative to plastics. Despite its image as a declining industry, paper remains an adaptable material with significant untapped potential. We aim to be a company that contributes to society and everyday life through paper and related materials.

Guided by our principle of “Sampo-Yoshi”—good for the buyer, good for the seller and good for society—we strive to enrich people’s lives. With strong compliance and a deep commitment to the environment, we will continue to act as a trusted partner, anticipating change and providing solutions.
